Hi, assuming you have an appropriate driver installed (please check) then- there are reports of this scenario and solutions have been published which may help you.If this does not solve your problem, please post back.Nope. The above attempts don't help. I'm doing a clean install. So there's no chance for vpn software to do anything.

And even after upgrading the drivers with windows update nothing helps. The bluetooth works ok.

But the wifi can't be turned on no matter what i do. This doesn't happen with windows 7 or 8.1 on my hp 14-r029tx laptop. Hi, have a look at this and see if it helps:Go to Control Panel Network and Internet Network Sharing CenterClick 'Change adapter settings' in left pane.Right click your adapter.

Tht didn't help either. The wifi still can't be turned on. Also please note this comment which you can check as regards your equipment, and which I quote but cannot attribute unfortunately: (italics mine as you clean installed)'What OS did you formerly use?' If it was Windows 7 then it's possible the router does not support WPA2-PSKAES while Windows 10, like Windows 8 and 8.1 no longer supports WPA-PSKTKIP.Check your router Advanced Wireless Setup page.I know how routers and their systems work. My router nd card both supports wpa-psk and also wpa2-psk. I cannot enable wifi by clicking the wifi tile in action center. The wireless switch on my hp laptop keyboard is f12 and that does not work.

It just switches the airplane mode on and off. But does not power up the wifi. The wifi always stays off.

This did not happen when i downloaded the iso right after threshold 2 was released nd the update was integrated in that iso. This happened recently.

Nd i cannot find any solution. Updating the driver does not help, no registry edit, no nothing solves the.ing problem. The problem is with windows 10. Hello wordman.

The official model number for my laptop is hp14-r029tx. It came with ralink 32xx wifi+bluetooth card. I sent it for warranty. Same card was not available so they replaced it with qualcomm atheros qca9565 card. It was working fine with the version before threshold 2 and also with the version of threshold 2 right after it was released.

My pc got infected with virus so i had to clean install the os again. So i again downloaded another iso 64bit for my laptop.

But right from then my wifi has stopped working. The bluetooth turns on and also connects. But for god knows what reason i just cant f.cking turn the wifi on. I've tried all the solutions from googling available.

But doesn't work. Absolutely nothing. But strange thing is i then installed windows 8.1 from my dvd. Installed the driver and my wifi was working like a charm with windows 8.1 and also with windows 7. It seems that the problem only occurs when i install the latest iso of windows 10. Nd for the record installing the latest drivers or pressing the f12 wireless key does not help. Bios settings are all ok.

I've set all the settings to default. But that also doesn't help. Windows 10 identifies the correct device. But i dnt know why and also can't figure out why this is happening with only windows 10 that i can't turn the wifi on!
