I recall seeing threads asking about N64 compatibility on the SNES Classic, but I don't think we have a definitive list. Would anyone be interested in contributing to this thread their findings on N64 games that run well on the Classic? I'd like for us to include only games that run at normal speed with little to no audio and graphical issues. It would also help to highlight the games that can be played comfortably with the SNES Classic controller- thankfully there's quite a few titles that don't utilize all the C buttons, thus making it easier to map on the SNES controller.I'll start us off of course. Here's some that are fully playable-1) Bomberman Hero (US)- minor music slow down when the game is sometimes paused, unpausing resolves it. Minor music slowdown when sometimes battling the boss Nitros. Besides that, appears to be fully playable.2) Fighter Destiny 2 (US)- very minor flickering when the game boots up to show its various company logos.

There's also minor sound hiccups early on during the gameplay intro before the title screen appears. After that, the game appears to be fully playable.3) Mace: The Dark Age (US)- sometimes a white border will appear on screen during matches. The border itself doesn't obscure your view. Besides that it appears to be fully playable.4) Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth (US)- fully playable, I have yet to encounter any issues.5) Wipeout 64 (US)- fully playable, I have yet to encounter any issues.6) Snowboard Kids 2 (US)- Minor audio slowdown at the beginning of some courses.7) Hybrid Heaven (US)- appears to be fully playable, no issues thus far.8) Gex 3 (US)- Minor audio slowdown during game's initial intro before title screen appears.

After that I noticed initial slowdown upon first entering the Snow stage (which quickly goes away). Appears to play fine otherwise, though this rom needs to be decompressed in order to save your game.9) Bust A Move 99 (US)- appears to be fully playable, no issues thus far.10) Quest 64 (US)- appears to be fully playable, no issues thus far.11) 40 Winks (Europe prototype)- appears to be fully playable, no issues thus far. Gotta decompress the rom however in order to save your game. All 11 games can be played perfectly on a SNES Classic controller and were tested on a SNES Classic modded with Hakchi2 2.21b and retroarch cores version 1.0c. This is incorrect, at least for me. I've spent a LOT of time with Bomberman Hero for instance- no slow down or crashing for me. I've read persons experiencing SNES overheating with hakchi2 2.2.1f however- I myself am still on 2.2.1b which is not only more stable but also allows the saving of in-game progress on most N64 games with the roms compressed.

On 2.2.1f, the majority of N64 games I've tried need to be decompressed in order to save, which takes up a LOT more space on the SNES Classic.
