Dec 11, 2010 iPhone shows no pictures in Windows Explorer. Windows detected the iPhone alright but showed no photos. (Yes, I know, this is still XP, but there's a reason for that.). User has an iPhone, sorry I did not ask which one but appeared new. OS version was one behind and user was forcing an update when I left them. PC is a Windows 10 desktop, fully updated and in fact just installed the latest update/build on the 22nd.So on the iPhone there are a ton of images.
The user uses Windows 10 direct import via USB and Windows 10 and native Windows Photos. Within the past month the photos are not syncing and in fact only report a small number of new photos on the phone that can be imported. Used Explorer to browse the phone, UseriPhone/DCIM/Photo folder(s), and here again we are not seeing the bulk of the photos that are actually on the phone.Was told this can happen when the file system on the phone gets whacky and a reboot usually fixes this. We did a reboot and it showed up a couple more images in Microsoft Photo and Explorer but again still missing tons of them but yet we can still see these on the phone itself as well as doing things like emailing them.Got a fix?

Depending on how your iCloud account is set up it may be auto-deleting photos from the phone memory and pointing back to them via the internet / iCloud. My phone does this. I have 15+ GB of photos and a 16 GB phone so I can't keep my library on my phone. It keeps a few in the 'Camera roll' and syncs back to iCloud rolling old photos out of the camera roll every week or so.So basically, it may actually be showing you everything that is on the phone. I have never seen an iPhone connect and only show 'some' pictures. It either works or it doesn't. Iphone X No New Pictures Found
It either works or it doesn't.I thought of that and tried to bring up some sort of properties for an image to see if it showed where it was located, size and such but couldn't figure out how to do this on the fly when looking at her phone. Will an iPhone actually show pictures from both the local phone storage and iCloud at the same time and same speed when viewing images on the iPhone gallery? How could I test this?This occurred to me as well when I saw her phone was at 95% full or such.
