I quickly realized it's about keeping on the move early on anyway, just now that I'm considering settling in the camp office long term.I'm curious about the wolf pathing due to raw meat left outside, I know carrying raw meet attracts wolves nearby, is this what you mean? I did not observe this was the case for meat left outside on the ground. I am actually leaving raw meat on the porch (good guess haha), though I haven't had wolf trouble near the building yet. The wolf pack of three on the lake does not seem to get attracted by it.

I've left raw meat outside the ML dam entrance and a wolf strolled right up. A great TLD streamer Kimiota, had raw meat on his Camp Office porch and noted this as the likely reason he had a wolf at his door.55 days is the longest I have survived Interloper but not because I have died in all my other runs. I find the first weeks of Interloper exciting and I have been constantly rerolling to speed run the early game.By far my favorite reroll is running from the TWM summit day 1, to ML day 3 where I kill 3 wolves with a distress pistol, before heading to DP by day 5 and back to Carter Dam around day 8 where I craft a bow and get started on a full set of fur clothing.My Interloper record for a full set is 19 days and 19 hours (not including the bear bedroll because I don't kill bears until I can safely eat them).

Yes I believe the condition of the weapon you use in wolf struggles matters. It has been this way for years so I do not recall how I know this.

The equation as I know it is that a 90% and above hunting knife gives the highest wolf struggle bonus of plus 50. This bonus decays as the knife loses condition with the idea being that you are less likely to win with a blunt rusty knife.As Interloper has no hunting knives, improvised knives give the highest bonus at hand, which I suspect is plus 40. And I imagine a 45% condition improvised knife will only give a plus 20 which puts you in serious peril.
